March 06, 2008, 12:38:55 PM
ok so i googled the perfect seletion dracula battle thing and it tunes out that it's a a group of musicians that do "rock" versions of castlevaina tunes according to wikipedia.

rock versions? wtf? castlevania is straight up metal like a mix of iron maiden and mercyful fate is what it sounds like ta me. anybody ever heard any of these albums?

Video Game Jam / new other section?
March 06, 2008, 12:33:02 PM
i was just wonderin' what the hell the new "other" section on vgjam is all about. is there a reason perfect selection dracula battle doesn't fit into any other category? is it not from a game?

'cause if it's not from a game then what is it? i'd really like ta know.

i play my '84 epiphone sg through my 100-watt peavey transtube supreme half-stack. it's all i need. i occasionally hook up my crybaby but not very often. no effects, no other crap. just my guitar and my amp. it's got it's own power percentage knob so i can dial in a lot of different amp tones and some bad-ass reverb that don't sound like shit.

Video Game Jam / Re: The Power of Powertab....

powertab is a pretty decent program but guitar pro far surpasses it in everyway. especially with the realistic sound engine that was put into guitar pro 5.

it's called guitar pro. they download the midi file from vgmusic.com and import it into guitar pro and viola, the whole midi file is tabbed. then they fix any of the errors and export it as an ascii.
