You know, I hate to sound like one of "those" people but..

If you can find copies of those books I highly suggest buying them. The game industry isn't afraid to sell book after book of piano sheet music because it sells. The only way to convince these companies to print guitar sheet music is for people to buy it.

I own both the Final Fantasy and Chrono Cross guitar books and I can tell you they are just about perfect as far as tabs/sheets go. When you're tab is written just like standard notation (only with numbers where the dots are) it's amazing how much better you can grasp the rhythms. The one negative thing about the books is that they are glue bound, so an extra trip to Staples to get them spiral bound will cost you a few bucks, but they'll lay flat for you.

Anyways, I'm usually not anal about purchasing stuff like this, but it's the only way they'll ever be convinced to print more.

Totally! Where can it be found for purchase?

I cant speak for the Mario books, but the Zelda ones have guitar versions as well.
